Nigerian Striker Wins Super Cup

Nigerian striker Junior Ajayi is starting the year 2018 on a blistering note as he was in action on Friday night to help his Egytian Club, Al Ahly to win the Super Cup for an amazing 10th time.
Ahly were crowned as Egypt Super Cup champions after beating Al Masry at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain, UAE.
Ajayi was on from the start but was substituted in the 97th minute by Islam Morhab.
Both sides battled to a 0-0 draw in regulation time with Walid Azarou scoring the winning goal in the 101st minute..
11 minutes into the extra time, Azarou broke the deadlock, putting Al Ahly in front after a massive howler from Al Masry’s goalkeeper Mas’oud who tried to dribble past Azarou, but the Moroccan striker won the ball and played it into the empty net.
The goal forced Al Masry to come out of their half, helping Al Ahly to find more space behind. In the 107th minutes, Walid Azarou made a brilliant solo run before sending Mo’men Zakria through but his shot was sent to a corner by Mas’oud.
Mo’men Zakria again had the chance to double Al Ahly’s lead when El-Said’s shot got deflected past Al Masry defenders to fall in front of Zakria whose header went wide from few yards.
