Ronaldo sets new FIFA Club World Cup recordCR7 vs Al

Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo's leveler against Al-Jazira on Wednesday evening means he has overtaken Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez as the Club World Cup's all-time leading scorer.
It took Ronaldo some time and a lot of effort to score past Al-Jazira to pull the European Champions back on level.

Tied on five goals with the Barcelona duo going into the game, Ronaldo was denied on a number of occasions by Ali Khasif in Al-Jazira's goal, before scoring past Khaled Al Senani following an injury to Al-Jazira's starting goalkeeper.
After his first strike in the competition coming whilst at Manchester United, Ronaldo had to wait until 2016 for another goal, scoring in last year's semi-final before a hat-trick against Kashima Antlers in the final.

The record was then broken in typical fashion as Luka Modric slid Ronaldo in behind at Zayed Sports City Stadium, who powered home an effort towards the far-post to put Real Madrid level after 53 minutes.
