Bale reaches pre-agreement to join Man Utd
Gareth Bale |
Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim Jose Mourinho has an agreement with Bale and has now convinced United chiefs to make a move for the Welshman.
The report claim Real are pushing for £79m (€90m) to let the winger leave, but the Red Devils are only willing to pay £53m (€60m) for the 28-year-old.
Real president Florentino Perez is holding out for more than that figure at present, despite Bale’s injury problems which has seen him has play just 11 matches this season for the La Liga and UEFA Champions League holders.
Bale scored the winner for Real in their World Club Cup semi-final against Al Jazira on Friday night. Manchester United boss Mourinho is said to believe that the former Spurs man can return to his top form in the Premier League.
The Special One has everything agreed with Bale and now just needs to convince Real Madrid to sell. United will look to continue to invest in their squad as Mourinho looks to close the gap on rivals Manchester City.
