Ozil Sets New Assist Record In Epl.

Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil became the fastest player in Premier League in history as he breaks former Manchester United star Eric Cantona during his side 3-0 win over Watford on Sunday.
The 29-year-old Germany international reach 50 assists at Emirate Stadium when he provide Shkodran Mustafi goal against the Hornet in 141 matches in the English football, breaking Cantona’s all-time record in the division.
The French man who made it to 50 in 143 appearances during his time with Leeds and Manchester United and 35 players have reached the milestone.
Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp was the third-quickest, achieving the feat in his 146th appearance, with Cesc Fabregas (165 appearances) and David Silva (166) making up the rest of the top five.
It was Ozil’s third assist in two games after he set up both goals in Arsenal’s 2-0 Europa League win at AC Milan on Thursday and Mustafi’s goal, which came eight minutes into the game, was also Arsenal’s 1,000th in the Premier League.
Arsenal went two-up through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who was set up by the Gunners' other assist king, Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Aubameyang later returned the favour by setting up Mkhitaryan to make it three and the win is the first in four league fixtures for the Gunners and takes them to 48 points in sixth place.
Ozil will be aiming to assist the Gunners again when they welcome AC Milan to the Emirates Stadium on Thursday.
