Real Madrid have reportedly been told that it will take a bid of at least £142m to prise Mohamed Salah away from Liverpool this summer.
Salah has been in scintillating form during his debut season at Anfield, scoring 32 goals across all competitions including a joint league-leading 24 in the Premier League.
The Egyptian winger's performances have reportedly drawn the interest of European champions Real Madrid, who are understood to be lining up a major overhaul of their squad this summer following a disappointing domestic campaign.
The futures of front three Cristiano Ronaldo ,
Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale have all come under question as a result, and club president
Florentino Perez is thought to have identified Salah as an ideal replacement for the latter.
However, El Confidencial reports that Liverpool will not entertain any bids below the €160m (£142m) which Barcelona paid for Philippe Coutinho in January, and are more likely to push the price up to rival the £160m Paris Saint-Germain will pay for Kylian Mbappe this summer.
Such a price tag could force Perez to look elsewhere, with Mauro Icardi , Robert Lewandowski and Eden Hazard having also been touted as possible replacements for any outward-bound attackers this summer.
