Pogba To Be Up For Transfer
The agent of Paul Pogba has allegedly encouraged top European sides to make bids for the Manchester United midfielder this summer.
The 24-year-old temporarily became the most expensive player in history when he rejoined United from Juventus in a £90m deal in August 2016, with accompanying wages of £290,000 a week.
Reports over the last month have suggested that Pogba's agent Mino Raiola , who pocketed an estimated £23m from the transfer 18 months ago, is unhappy with the arrival of Alexis Sanchez at Old Trafford in January on a deal that sees the Chilean earn significantly more than his client.
Meanwhile, in recent weeks there have been rumours of a rift between Pogba and United manager Jose Mourinho , who named the Frenchman on the bench for the club's Champions League encounter with Sevilla last night.
According to Sports Illustrated , Raiola "has been calling other top European clubs in the past week to try and persuade them to go after Pogba in the summer transfer market".
The publication claims that despite heavy interest in the player in 2016, "so far nobody is biting" due to the heavy wage demands and transfer fee that would accompany Pogba's signing.
Pogba has made 75 appearances for United in his second spell at the club, contributing 12 goals.
