Plateau United Start Their CAF Champions League Campaign On A 3-Star Performance
The reigning Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Plateau United have started their journey in the CAF Champions League on a bright note.
The Jos-based team were in blistering form in the first leg of their preliminary stage clash against Eding Sport; beating the Cameroonian club 3-0 on Sunday.
It was Elijah Ogene that scored the opening goal for Plateau United but unfortunately, that was all they could boast of all through the first half.
Very little changed until the dying stages of the game which Plateau United were able to get two quick goals that should do their chances for qualifying for the next a lot of good.
Aside Enyimba, no Nigerian club has ever won Africa’s biggest club competition.
