Transfer Fee Paid For The Release Of The Spainish National Team Coach By Real Madrid Revealed


The transfer fee paid by Real Madrid to acquire the services of coach Julen Lopetegui has been revealed, according to reports.
He became the fifth coach in the history of Real Madrid that will be paid for to secure their services, the European Champions paid €2 million to the Spanish Football Association (RFEF).
Upon the payment of the release fee, the federation issued a statement where they also asked for his current position as Spain coach be respected until after he steps down after the World Cup.
"The RFEF will receive the buy-out clause so that the coach can sign for Real Madrid," it read.
The Former FC Porto extended his deal with the national team just a few days ago before he was snapped up by the European Champions.
In the time past Real Madrid has paid for following Toshack (90m pesetas in 1989), Pellegrini (4m euros to Villarreal in 2009), Mourinho (8m euros to Inter in 2010) and Ancelotti (4m euros to PSG in 2013).
He will be Zinedine Zidane's replacement at the Bernabeu dugout after he signed three years contract with the European Champions.
